出汁をとるための昆布です。

乾いたふきんで表面をきれいにし、使いやすい大きさに切り洗わず水に浸し、出汁をとります。沸騰直前に昆布を取り出すのがポイントです。(のれん状に切れ目を入れた昆布を、水から約5分間煮て取り出す)その他、湯豆腐、白身魚の昆布〆、酢昆布、煮付け昆布等にお使い頂けます。

This kelp is for making soup (Japanese "dashi"-soup) Wipe the surface of kelp with soft cloth or cooking paper, cut it into desired size and put it into the pot with water and boil about 5 minutes, then take off kelp just before water boiling point.

Using this kelp,You can cook some other dish like: "Boiling Tofu", "kelp-seasoned fish", cooked kelp with vinegar or soy sauce.
